Since the last update and with the engine back in, the wiring has been able to be completed meaning everything can now go back together.
I caught up with David who is helping finish off the bike to run over a few of the finer details which need addressing before he hands it back over.
After not being started for nearly 2 years, the carby will need a good clean. Secondly, last time it was running, the jetting was not correct with the pipe and air filter so a bit of time will need to be spent to get this just right.
The goal is to have the old girl on the road, registered, by the end of January 2018. That won't mean that is the end of the project though. There are a number of small little finishing touches I would like to make and some bigger changes further down the track when I have the spare cash (thinking stainless exhaust, fork conversion, oil cooler, upgraded carby).
All things going to plan, the next post will be of the bike running.
