Since the last update, the bike frame is now back from welding with all of the excess lugs cut off, holes filled in and existing welds tidied up.
From here the frame went off to to be sand blasted while the tank and seat cowl was prepped for painting.
With this now complete, the tank and cowl had the first of the 3 layers of paint applied and cured. Work has also commence to mask-up the feature line work which will reflect the original tank design and then follow through to the seat cowl.
While the next two layers of paint are applied to the tank and cowl, the frame is being set across to another local business to be powder coated in gloss black.
To be honest, the silver caught me by surprise and just how good it looks in just the one colour. It feels like the whole build is now coming together and cannot wait to see how it looks after the next two layers.
