So I didn't get much done on the bike over the Christmas/New Year break unfortunately. I did however pick myself up a small MIG welder suitable for up to 5mm mild steel - the perfect size for the projects I do.
The first bit of work to test the new welder on was building a mount for the key barrel. 19 mm drill bits are impossibly to buy when your drill only takes up to a 10 mm shank. I picked up a cone drill bit which worked surprisingly well. I used an existing large welder and only had to open it up a couple of millimetres more.
With the kill switch mounted into the headlight, the key is mounted neatly under the fuel tank. Rather happy with the end result.
