So the bike has been in at Bulldog Trimming getting the seat upholstered. The plastic base for the seat had to be ordered in and hence, has delayed the completion of the works slightly.
Today I went to the shop, inspected the work and had some adjustments made to suite the style I am looking for. The seat turned out a little thicker than I was hoping for however, it is MUCH more comfortable than what I had expected as well. Here is the progress so far.
More trimming was required from the above photo. The below photo shows the general shape. The foam is still yet to be tidied up and have a final thin layer of padding installed before covering.
