So no big news to report. I dropped the bike off last week to have the seat upholstered which I should be able to pick up later this week.
Before I dropped it off I took a couple of photos of the work that had been done.
POSH switch block installed for horn and indicator. Ordered another block for high/low beam which should hopefully arrive the week.
As mentioned in earlier posts, the peckcock from the both the XR600 tank and CB tank would clash with the subframe shown here in the below picture. To overcome this, I plugged up the old holes with bolts and sealant and tapped a new thread to install a brass barb. A fuel switch and inline fuel filter was connected before hooking into the carby.
Here is a picture of the kill switch installed into the headlight. The horn is also fitted inside the shroud.
The rear brakes were cleaned, new seals, new brake pads and bead blasted before being connected up to the nee HEL brake line.
The front brake could not be repaired unfortunately. Even with over 160 psi the old cylinders could not be pushed out. As a result a brake caliper from a wreck was installed but not before being bead blasted.
P.S. that is Archie chilling in the background.

New rear brake reservoir mounted up to the little bracket tucked in behind the subframe.
Last picture is of the key switch located under the tank. It is currently just sitting loosely there but will be mounted up on a small bracket connected to the upper subframe.
As mentioned above, next upload will be of the upholstered seat. The final design took much contemplation and I think you will be please with the end result.
