First and foremost, some parts arrived today! Muffler, FMF hi-flow header pipe, fuel filter, oil breather filter and headlight brackets.
...and I have already struck problems. The muffler clashes with the rear wheel and the headlight brackets are not large enough for the forks. I will just need to re-order the headlight brackets however the muffler won't be quite as easy. I will need to either bend or modify the header pipe to kick out a little to keep the muffler off the wheel.
Next up is getting it all back together and work out how everything will go together. I want to completely build the bike and ensure all the cutting, welding, grinding and drilling is done prior to painting.
Here is the progress.
I was beginning to freak out when I realised there was no change of fitting a pod filter to the carby as the shock gas tank was in the road.
Then I realised this has been spun around when the suspension was being set up. 2 minutes later and my worries are gone.
Putting it together is not taking long at all. My biggest issue at the moment is sourcing all my parts that will actually fit.
