Unfortunately not a great deal of progress to report on. I have ordered the correct size headlight mounts and will be picking up a set of handlebars this weekend. In the mean time, I have properly mounted the fuel tank and transferred the petcock from the XR600 tank onto the CB200 tank.
The rubber wrap was easy enough to make as I simply traced around the old cover that came off. The rubber mounts took a little more work; lots of trial and error making sure I cut too little rather than too much at any one time. I am quite pleased with the end result and the tank now sits very sturdy. You can't see it in the pictures, but there are two bolts that connect the tank to the frame at the back. Before I could make the rubber mounts I had to first cut back the tank a little.
